I currently go to college in the city of Austin. Up until two years ago, my older brother also went to college with me in Austin. However, since he is older and began college two years before me, he successfully graduated on time, which was two years ahead of me. Once he graduated, he was offered a job with a company in Chicago. Because they offered him a great position doing exactly what he had wanted to do, it didn’t take him long at all to accept their offer.

When he first moved away, I was afraid that it was going to have a negative impact on our relationship with each other. However, after him being in Chicago for two years, I have found that it hasn’t done anything to hurt our brother and sister bond. While we don’t get to see each other in person as often as we used to, we talk to each other just about every single day.

For this New Year’s, my brother invited me to come up to Chicago, and I definitely accepted his invitation. I was so excited when I pulled up to his house in my rental car from the airport, and we had so much fun going out and doing things during my time in Chicago!
