Earlier this month, I decided that I needed a vacation. I made the choice to find somewhere to go because I had a lot of built up stress, and I was concerned that if I didn’t release it, I was going to just explode one day. I am not really the type of person who normally makes a decision like this one, but I felt like under the circumstances, it was the right thing for me to do. After making this significant decision, I hopped online and took a little time to check out the latest travel deals. Luckily for me, it seems like this trip was meant to be because I discovered a great rate on a trip to Chicago. I booked my trip for three and a half days, and knew that it was going to be a relaxing experience.

As a result of this trip being planned at the last minute, I didn’t really have any concrete plans for my time in Chicago. Since the goal of my trip was to feel as free as possible, I decided to go ahead and get a Chicago car rental for myself. After everything was booked, I had less than a week to wait until I departed for my time away.

After stepping off of the plane, I immediately went and got my Chicago car rental. Since I made my Chicago car rental reservation ahead of time, this was really easy to do. I am happy to report that my trip went extremely well, and it was just what I needed to clear my head.

Although I don’t plan on revealing my exact age, I will admit that I am getting up there in years. Even though I still feel young on the inside, I realize that there is no way to change the number of years that I have been on this planet. However, I don’t worry about my age, because as long as I still have my health and energy, then I don’t think my age should have any impact on how I live my life.

Because I truly enjoy it, I try to travel on a fairly regular basis. In addition to going on larger scale trips, I also enjoy more modest trips (such as visiting other cities in the United States). Since I have been around for awhile, I still remember quite clearly the days when a travel agent was the only reliable way to get an entire trip reserved. Fortunately, those days are gone, and there is a much easier (and much more cost efficient way to plan a trip). As you probably guessed, I’m talking about the Internet. While I may be a little older, I’m not dumb, so I’m quite comfortable using my computer and the Internet in general.

Because it’s so easy to use, I can plan an entire trip online. For example, when I went to Chicago last month, my flight, hotel room and car rental were all reserved directly from the Internet.

For the first eighteen years of my life, I lived in the city of Chicago. While a lot of people consider New York City to be the best city in the United States, I have to disagree. The reason that I disagree with this statement is because I truly believe that Chicago is the best city in the United States. You may think that I am just biased because I grew up in Chicago, but considering the fact that I have been living in New York City for the past three years (because I am attending college there), I believe that my opinion on this topic is quite valid. I enjoy living in New York City and think it’s a great place, but in comparison to Chicago, I think Chicago has a leg up on New York City.

Since I definitely get homesick from time to time, I have decided to spend my Spring Break in Chicago. You may think that spending Spring Break in your home city sounds boring, but I always have a great time when I go back to Chicago, and I don’t think that Spring Break will be any different.
